Description
A haiku is a short Japanese poem, structured in a triptych form of 5, 7 and 5 syllables. It is traditionally engraved on a stone, read, but not pronounced, thus opening the mind to meditation, from the evocation of simple words, often referring to nature, provoking sensations of spontaneity and lightness… These 11 haikus are inspired by the work of Matsuo Bashô (1644-1694), a Japanese poet. Without wanting to describe the precise meaning, often intangible, I wanted to musically translate the sensations felt when reading these poems. Dimitri Tchesnokov
