3 gâteaux orange
This short piece for clarinet was inspired by a dessert order in a modest Thai restaurant. Three orange cakes were served to the composer and the commissioner of the work: the first cake was pasty, the second very stringy, and the third completely spongy.
Each of the movements evokes one of these pastries.
