Sheet music and works by the same author
Description
It was nighttime wanderings in abandoned factories in Eastern countries, from which emanated reminiscences of techno music in a street art setting, that gave birth to the universe of this piece. We find, stylized, obstinate and synthetic pulsations, layers of more linear textures, backward sounds that collide in the sound space, repetitive patterns with different superimposed metrics. In a second part of the work, this climate dissipates to give way to a sort of disenchanted ballad whose guitar picks out the notes with simplicity and nonchalance on a slow and deep bass cantus… On several occasions the guitar seems to want to escape from this atmosphere and imposes rhythmically more contrasted parts until a final return, this time more lyrical, of the initial melody. After a brief, more evanescent cadence, a rhythmic engine starts up again very gradually and takes the piece towards a finale where the worlds of the two previous parts blend together. Thierry ESCAICH
