Description
Humoresque , composed at the age of 20, is undoubtedly his most performed work. It is a refined, short and virtuoso piece, very pleasant to play.
Toccata is a steady and fiery workk, very virtuoso. It is not a brilliant virtuosity, however; everything remains sung, with an energy filled with a very noble humor.
Vesnyanka , a small independent work, is of a very subtle melodic and polyphonic finesse: one can hear chants in thirds, typical of Ukraine.
La ronde is a small miniature with time changes, sound and piano textures, which once again show us the sensitivity and "master's art" of Ihor Shamo.
The Marche fantastique is perhaps his first work. Brilliant and virtuoso, it is inspired by Romantic composers.
