Rhizome
Vente à la demande
Rhizome: perennial underground stem producing roots and aerial stems.
Lively music, emanating from a simple root, to extend in multiple horizontal or vertical directions.
Starting from Eb, the reference note of the transposing alto saxophone and in homage to Glazunov's concerto, the rhizome first multiplies towards the peripheral notes E and D to finally cover the entire spectrum of the saxophone.
The string ensemble sustains the resonance of the soloist and brings its own sonic and musical richness.
Created in July 2018 at the World Saxophone Congress, Zagreb (Croatia), by Vincent David (saxophone) and the Zabreb Soloists
