Description
This song is above all that of a solitary tree.
The Ténéré tree, which survived until 1973, is a true legend in Africa. This solitary acacia, located in the heart of the "desert of deserts," is the only one to have ever survived, hundreds of kilometers away, in the face of extreme climatic conditions.
Through this tree, I pay tribute to the composer Jean-Louis Florentz. The tree represents his passion for Africa, his intense spirituality, and his creative force.
The song of the Ténéré -mes. 77-127- is surrounded by a jubilant music of repeated notes that is found throughout the work. Here, the force of the elements is unleashed and joined by a profound song of solitude.
Commissioned by the Sylvanès Abbey - Cultural meeting center.
Creation of June 8, 2019, on the occasion of the Jean-Louis Florentz days by Henri-Franck BEAUPÉRIN.
