Description
Designed as a comprehensive resource, this book covers numerous disciplines: notes, rhythms, singing, dictation, error detection, intonation, handwriting, theoretical analysis, and, of course, listening. Each lesson is structured around a different musical excerpt (from Vivaldi to Debussy) recorded on CD. Initially, the acquisition of notes and rhythms is achieved through sensory exploration using the cards provided in the teacher's book (which also includes the scores for the excerpts and answer keys). The lessons in the student book are presented on two pages: one for the lesson itself, and the other for homework. This book is intended for those working within amateur music societies and conforms to the music education programs of the French Music Confederation. It will also be useful for teachers in music schools and conservatories.
