There are already many beautiful studies for the bassoon and it was while thinking about the various artistic encounters that I had the chance to have throughout the world that the idea for this work came to me.
In these two collections of Bassoon on the Top, I wanted to bring a touch of imagination to the students' daily work as well as to the teachers' weekly meetings.
They are inspired both by the regions of the world traveled but also by the height of the peaks...to conquer!
Students thus perfect their instrumental technique while learning the characteristics of world music (rhythms-scales-rubato-style-modes).
