Powolny Walc. Valse lente

Powolny Wal c means Slow Waltz in Polish. This short, easy piece for clarinet and piano is structured in two parts—one melancholic, the other joyful—followed by a Da Capo and a Coda ending with a dissonant chord that itself follows an abrupt halt. It is dedicated to my friend Jean-Marc Fessard for this collection, which he directs at Gérard Billaudot, a welcoming publishing house where I particularly thank François and Florence Derveaux, Christophe Dardenne, and Eléonore Boeglin, who oversaw the preparation of this edition.
