Description
This third volume contains Sonatas 7 to 9, which are similar to the Sonata da camera form. Corelli's Opus 5 represents the quintessence of violin art at the beginning of the 18th century.
We have taken great care to scrupulously respect Corelli's original manuscript. There is no ornamentation proposed for the slow movements in this volume. It includes a realization of the basso continuo, but this edition of course allows continuo players to exercise their
talents (solo cello part provided).
Some movements of these Sonatas can be approached at the end of cycle 2, others require greater instrumental mastery.
