Mirages
Mirages is dedicated to the composer's daughter. The music conveys a sense of movement, by analogy with Impressionism or pointillism in the visual arts. A reflection of a colorful era, it pays tribute to the various cultural influences that shaped my imagination.
Mirages are natural phenomena that create optical illusions. They fall into three categories: inferior, superior and Fata Morgana (so named in reference to the enchantress Morgan Le Fay), a complex form of mirages containing multiple layers of images piled up on one another.
Mirages is their musical equivalent and the blurred sounds and auditory illusions lead the listeners to question all assumed or hidden influences.
