Description
Sa-li (Gap of the Time) speaks about the "pause" or "stillness" found within complex and rapid movements. Sa-li is a Korean word that signifies a fleeting moment of time, while also being an ambiguous term used to express human relationships.
In our busy and complex modern society, we are constantly thinking and stressed. Every day, a vast amount of information pours out through various media, and our brains have no time to rest, even for a moment. We need not only physical rest but also mental rest. How important it is to pause for a moment amidst the constantly flowing time and information.
The orchestra begins with rapid movement, and all parts move frantically. As all instrument parts move busily, they suddenly stop all at once, and a bell sound is heard. In the deep silence, we stop our movement, and our busy thoughts also cease. And soon, deep peace accompanies us.
