La flûte éveillée is a continuation of La flûte en éveil volumes 1 and 2.
Consisting of 12 original pieces composed by Gilles Martin, this work for solo flute, 2 flutes, flute and piano is aimed at flautists at the end of the first cycle and can be used for auditions or assessments.
Of varied styles, it covers classical ornaments, contemporary notation, double and triple tonguing, the whole-tone scale, the blues scale, shuffle rhythm, blue note and dodecaphony.
Each piece, spanning two pages, is accompanied by a text providing brief explanations of the flute and stylistic elements studied. All compositions are recorded on CD with a playback version for the two piano pieces. The accompaniments for Patchwork and Fable are included in the attached booklet.
La flûteéveilée offers a repertoire developed with specific objectives in mind. With its diversity and clarity, this new volume was designed to bring pleasure, autonomy, and musical openness to the learning process for young flautists.
