Description
There are several ways to write "REN" in Japanese, for example 恋 (love), 連 (communication, connection), or 蓮 (lotus). Imaginary Pictures is a work in three movements: "REN I," "REN II," and "REN III." They are based on the Japanese concept of space as a crucial element in image creation, a place of expansion, and a space where the audience can draw upon their imagination.
Composed in 2020 and 2021, these Imaginary Pictures were created on January 13, 2021 at the Recital Hall of the Hyogo Prefectural Theatre by YK Company with Pierre Monty as guest soloist.
