4 pièces : Solfège - Gefühl - Criticisme - Der Blaue Reiter

Bertrand DUBEDOUT

These four concert pieces are from Endless Eleven , for a percussionist and electronic environment, on texts by Immanuel Kant (except for Solfège). Each one commits a very simple instrumental set, an electronic part of fixed sounds, and calls upon the theatrical resources of the performer: voice, gestures, postures. They can be given individually, in any order, or in sequence.

Description

These four concert pieces are from Endless Eleven , a musical, scenic and video action for a percussionist and interactive electronic environment, on texts by Immanuel Kant (except for Solfège). Each one commits a very simple instrumental set, an electronic part of fixed sounds, and also calls upon the theatrical resources of the performer: his voice, his gestures, his postures. They can be given individually, in any order, or one after the other. We can complement them with Yes we Kant , for marimba (and voice), which comes from the same show (from the same publisher, ref. GB9281), for a striking, joyful - and it must be said, somewhat irreverent - nod to this immense philosopher... In Solfège , we will find an affectionate - and respectful - nod to Pierre Schaeffer in the eight syllables of the Indian Tabla solfège stated by Chatur Lal, which come from the Prologue of Solfège de l'Objet Sonore (Pierre Schaeffer, Beatriz Ferreyra, Guy Reibel - GRM, 1966).
