Description
As a transverse flute teacher, driven by a passion for teaching for many years, I wanted to offer a gentle progression in the technical and musical acquisition of flute students, from the end of cycle 1.
Thus, I have brought together in this book an original educational path that allows students and teachers alike to enjoy playing in duets, while developing their knowledge of the flute repertoire. The collection can also be used as a support for instrumental sight-reading with more advanced students.
In Perfect Accord! consists of 18 steps spread over two pages. Each step offers the following sections:
- Sound : a preparation for listening, intonation and relaxation of the embouchure.
- Agility : a scale (with ascending and descending melodic minors for minor scales), followed by thirds and arpeggios with varied articulations.
- Mosaic Study : an original composition by Gilles Martin addressing a specific technical and rhythmic aspect, always in the service of musicality.
- Repertoire : an arrangement of excerpts from sonatas, concertos, solos or orchestral excerpts highlighting the transverse flute, from the Baroque period to the 20th century.
Like in a Byzantine mosaic, the flautist will assemble his multiple skills, the combination of which will make him, I hope, an accomplished and happy musician!
Wishing you much pleasure in discovering this work,
Claudine BONODOT-MARTIN
