Description
Petit Tour du Monde en double-stopes is a modern and enjoyable method for effectively working on double-stops. It is intended for violinists who already have some practice (2nd cycle level) and can be used over several years thanks to a structured progression.
This collection contains over 50 short, motivating pieces. These are all presented as duets that can be played with your teacher or violinist friends. The included audio files allow for challenging, effective, and enjoyable solo practice.
It's a real musical journey that is offered: setting off to discover folklore from around the world (South America, Celtic countries, French repertoire and other surprises...) but also rediscovering themes known from great composers (Mozart, Beethoven, Corelli, Smetana...)!
This collection primarily uses the 1st position, then gradually adds a few other positions. It covers all types of intervals up to the octave and also offers a serious introduction to harmonic accompaniment (finding your own double stops from chord names).
Numerous clear tips allow the violinist to develop an informed harmonic awareness as well as a fine listening to the accuracy of his instrument.
