These pieces each have their own musical colors, but also their own issues: sonority, legato, detachment, mixtures of measures, arpeggios, ornaments...
In addition, they bring into play all the specific elements of chamber music: listening, accuracy, phrasing, musicality, etc.
The two voices are of equal difficulty, allowing the instrumentalists to change parts in turn for double the pleasure.
Note that the studies Swing Phrase (No. 5) and Detached from Repeated and Legato Notes (No. 11) benefit from optional percussion accompaniment.
